Briefly about University of Reading & their IFP programme;

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) at the University of Reading is an intensive access course with a long established reputation for academic excellence and student support.

The course has been especially designed for international students without British A level qualifications or the equivalent.

The IFP will provide you with the academic training, language and study skills to start undergraduate studies in any degree at the University of Reading with knowledge and confidence by

  • providing academic training in three subjects relevant to your intended degree
  • developing your English language abilities if necessary
  • enabling you to acquire the study and life skills which you will need on your degree programme.

The programme is also accepted by many other British universities for entry on to their degree courses. Nearly 100% of IFP students pass the programme and over 75% successfully qualify for a degree programme at Reading each year.

Our students are full members of the University of Reading with access to all its academic, welfare, social and sports facilities. We offer a highly supportive learning environment with an inclusive international culture and a friendly community. Our staff are academic members of the University with considerable experience of teaching international students.

The University was established in 1892, received its Royal Charter in 1926, and has developed into a leading force in British and international higher education.

We deliver a world-class student experience, research-led teaching and our graduate employability record is excellent. The numbers of our students going on to higher level study is well above the national average.
