Bangor University’s Student Union has been ranked in the top 10 in the UK (WhatUni 2023) and has over 150 different clubs and societies to choose from such as, film, music, and drama to sport clubs such as canoeing, football, horseback riding, and surfing. Plus, there are volunteer, religious, and cultural societies, so there is bound to be something to suite your taste. It is free to join any of the clubs and societies.

Bangor has been ranked top 10 in the UK for Value for Money (StudentCrowd University Awards 2023) and is also ranked among the top 20 UK universities for Student Support (WhatUni 2023). Our International Student Support Office provides advice and guidance on a range of support related matters including Visa advice, Health and Well-being, Finances, Social Events, practical information, and they also organise the airport pick-up service from Manchester airport at the beginning of each intake.

Bangor’s Student Accommodation has been ranked top 3 in the UK (WhatUni 2023) and the university guarantees a place in halls of residence to all new international students who make an application by the given deadline. All the accommodation is modern and within easy walking distance of your lectures, the campus, and the city centre. Our two student villages all have communal areas, shops, and leisure facilities on-site and there are numerous halls to choose from to suit all budgets. All accommodation prices include utility bills, wi-fi, room contents insurance, Campus Life and gym membership, and we also have 24-hour security on-site.
